• Expanding the “Yes” Brain While Decreasing the Resistance from the Brain
9:15am-12:30pm (1.5 CTE)
Learn techniques to develop children who are flexible, curious, resilient and willing to try new things and learn from mistakes. Help children develop an internal compass that leads to true success. Learn the four fundamentals of the “Yes” Brain: Balance, Resilience, Insight; and Empathy.
• Wired to Move: Successful ways to Teach Boys 11:00am-12:30pm (1.5 CT)
Every day in this country over 7000 kids drop out of school and most of them boys. Boys make up about 80% of the discipline referrals. While these boys don’t intend to get into trouble, current practices in the home, child care settings and schools put them at higher risk. Learn techniques to help all students thrive in today’s society utilizing the latest brain research. We will explore ways to improve student engagement and performance for both boys and girls.
