• Safety and Wellness 9:00 am-10:45am (1.5 CTE)
Understanding the importance of providing a safe and healthy environment for youth is a key for quality programs. This workshop will provide evidence-based resources and useful tools that build afterschool capacity for qualitative and sustainable practices.

• Trauma Informed Care 11:00am-12:30pm (1.5 CTE)
Involves understanding, recognizing, and responding to the effects of all types of trauma. Trauma Informed Care (TIC) also emphasizes physical, psychological and emotional safety for both consumers and providers, and helps survivors rebuild a sense of control and empowerment.

Overview SEL
9:00 am-10:45 (1.5 CTE)
Introduce and align Social Emotional learning for youth development. This will include hands on activities that can be used in Out-Of-School Time (OST) programs.

• Family School and Community Relationships 11:00am-12:30pm (1.5 CT)
Learn techniques to create on-going positive interactions and effective partnerships between afterschool professionals and families and leaders who work with and on behalf of children and youth, and families.

A great way to earn hours for PD requirements.
Registration for MAA members is only $25.
