Safety and Wellness 10:00-12:00 (2.0 CTE)

Understanding the importance of providing a safe and healthy environment for youth is a key for quality programs. This workshop will provide evidence-based resources and useful tools that build afterschool capacity for qualitative and sustainable practices.

Youth Motivation (Ask-Listen-Encourage) 10:00-12:00(2.0 CTE)

Participants learn how to ask effective questions, to listen actively to youth, and offer youth encouragement rather than praise.

Overview SEL 10:00-12:00 (2.0 CTE)

Introduce and align Social Emotional learning for youth development. This will include hands on activities that can be used in Out-Of-School Time (OST) programs.

Family School and Community Relationships 10:00-12:00 (2.0 CTE)

Learn techniques to create on-going positive interactions and effective partnerships between afterschool professionals and families and leaders who work with and on behalf of children and youth, and families.
